the Indian economy the present study aims at forecasting the area and production of chickpea by
using a sound econometric technique known as Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average
(ARIMA) process which is widely used in literature. The forecasting of area and production
would be of great help to farmers and policy makers in their decision making.
